Outside of his life in Entertainment, Malcolm is a rising IT and Communications professional. In 2018, he graduated from the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, with a B.S. in Information Management & Technology. From the time that he stepped on campus, Malcolm was actively involved in the Syracuse University and city communities with the sole purpose of improving the experience of his fellow students, as well as to engage and connect people from various backgrounds – be it amongst friends in a social setting, or as a member or leader of an organization.

Throughout that time he worked with a variety of leaders across various departments, student organizations, and community organizations. Malcolm was the Chair of Academic Affairs for Student Association, a member of the Student Affairs Advisory Board, Student Alumni Council, and a Peer Advisor for the School of Information Studies. These positions put him directly in front of those that had the power to make change, and because of that, he felt that it was his responsibility to use that platform for good. Within these spaces he was able to further various initiatives, suggest changes to improve student life, break down cultural boundaries, and increase transparency between the administration and students.

Few of those changes impacted Malcolm’s own graduating class, but that made it all the more special – because he was able to leave behind positive improvements to the university, as was done for him by predecessors. When he walked across the stage during commencement, he felt as though he did his part to serve others and make the community the best it could be, and inspired others to do the same.
